Somebody help me out, because I'm quite confused. The White Sox are planning to go into next season with the back end of the rotation with John Danks, Jose Contreras, and Gavin Floyd.
In my mind, none of these guys are better than a No. 5 pitcher. I think that the Sox should go into the season with one, or maybe two of these guys in the rotation.
Even if they can't swing a deal for someone like Noah Lowry from San Fransisco, why not sign a veteran who can eat up some innings, like Livan Hernandez or Kyle Loshe?
One of these two guys is much more suited to be in the rotation of a team who wants to shock the world and make a playoff push.
